What to Pack when Camping
by Leo Wallace
In order to make sure your camping break is as enjoyable as possible, you will want
to make sure you've packed all the essentials. In case you're new to beach camping,
here's a brief guide to just a few of thing things that you'll want to remember to
take.
Of course, you're unlikely to forget to take your tent, but have you remembered to
pack the instructions for putting it up? Unless you're extremely familiar with your
tent, it is always a good idea to have these to hand. You should also take into
consideration and specialised pieces of equipment which you may need for camping in
your chosen destination.
Next you will want to think about other practical essentials. For example, if you
are planning to cook your own food whilst camping, then you will not only want to
take cooking equipment, but also something in which to store you uncooked food. You
will also find that items such as a torch, matches, a hammer, bedding and your usual
toiletries will all prove essential when camping.
However, one thing that some campers tend to forget are their more personal items
which will keep them entertained. Camping in the UK doesn't always mean you'll have
great weather and so, while it can be good opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors,
you should also plan for the time which you might need to spend inside your tend. If
you usually spend rainy days playing games at

, then why not take a pack of
playing cards? Alternatively, you might pack a good book, or perhaps your guitar.
Lastly, it is always important that you pack a small medical kit. This should be
filled with basic medicines, such as paracetamol, as well as antiseptic creams and
support bandages. Don't forget, when camping, you are also more likely to need
insect repellent, as well as suntan lotion. Happy camping!
